A Sport Utility vehicle, commonly abbreviated as SUV, is a light truck-classified family vehicle. In the past, there were mostly 2-door versions of these cars, but in later years (as of about the mid-1990s), most SUVs are now 4-doors, likely due to the increase of the world population. The hugest decline in 2-door SUVs occurred in 2003.
