Sold for about three years, the Mitsubishi Expo was the company's only minivan during the 1990s. The closest competitor for this minivan was the Mazda MPV.
Year-to-year changes[]
1992[]
In its first model year, the Expo came in either a 3-door or 4-door passenger van. The 3-door was known as the LRV, and the 4-door as the SP. The LRV came in base and Sport trim levels, the latter with either front or all-wheel drive, while the SP had just one trim level with either front or all-wheel drive.
1993[]
A new base 4-door Expo joined the lineup.
1994[]
The SP was discontinued, leaving behind the base model as the sole 4-door for the Expo. In addition, the 3-door only came with front-wheel drive.
1995[]
Only a limited number of 4-door Expos went on sale this year.
