The Premier, a full-size 4-door sedan, was one of Eagle's first cars ever made in the United States. Its successor, the Vision, was the version of Chrysler's LH-car triumvirate sold by Jeep-Eagle dealers. Each permutation of this sedan had a different personality. The Chrysler Concorde stressed luxury. The Dodge Intrepid aimed for practicality and value. The Vision emphasized sportiness. It competed with the Ford Taurus, Toyota Camry, Nissan Maxima and Honda Accord, and was seen as an import-fighter by Chrysler.

1991[]
The Premier consisted of were three models -- the ES, ES Limited and LX.
1992[]
With no changes for the 1992 model year, the Premier, along with its Dodge counterpart, the Monaco, were discontinued as of December 17, 1991.
1993[]
Since it first left the assembly line for the 1993 model year (with sales commencing in July 1992), two models were offered for the Eagle Vision: the base ESi and the sportier TSi. The ESi featured a 3.3-liter 153-hp ohv V6 engine. The TSi was powered by a 3.5-liter 24-valve 214-hp sohc V6. Both drive the front wheels through an electronically controlled 4-speed automatic that's been refined for 1995.
Standard equipment on both models included dual airbags, AM/FM/cassette stereo, a/c, speed-sensitive power steering, childproof rear door locks, tinted glass, courtesy lights, power mirrors, rear-window defroster, tilt wheel and power windows. The TSi added 4-wheel disc ABS (optional on ESi), foglights, keyless entry, leather steering wheel and shift knob, secondary sun visors with sliding extensions, cargo net and power driver's seat. Options included traction control, power moonroof, automatic day/night rearview mirror, theft alarm, sound system upgrades, power passenger seat (TSi only) and an integral child safety seat.
1994[]
The ESi sedan was upgraded to have 161 horsepower.
1995[]
Only minor changes were made for 1995: five new colors, a "cancel" feature added to cruise control, improved top-line radio with a compact-disc player and yellow identification of underhood service check points (dipsticks, etc.).
