The Alfa Romeo Spider was a compact roadster convertible that lasted for 28 years. Competitors of this vehicle included the Chrysler LeBaron, Mercury Capri and Volkswagen Cabriolet.

Original convertibles since 1981 were available in Graduate (base) and Veloce trim levels, and from 1986 to 1990, the top-of-the-line Quadrifoglio.

Year-to-year changes[]

1991[]

For 1991, the Spider convertible was down from three to two trim levels: Base (replacing Graduate) and Veloce. The first 1,933 final-generation units were sold in 1990. More than 9,000 Spiders were sold this year.

1992[]

Sales of the Spider convertible began to decline quickly in 1992, with about 3,600 vehicles sold this year.

1993[]

With just under 2,000 vehicles sold in its last year, very few of these Alfa Romeo Spiders were 1994 models.
