Alfa Romeo, an Italian automobile manufacturer, commenced sales of their cars in North America since 1961. Alfa Romeo mostly sold compact cars in the 1980s, including the 4-door Milano, the roadster convertible Spider, and the sporty GTV6 coupe.
On January 24, 1995, a few months before the first early 1996 models were distributed from within all American car manufacturers, Alfa Romeo ended production of their own cars in America, the last ones being 1995 model year 164 sedans.
